The hole size can be adjusted. Common sizes are 3 mm x 3 mm, 5 mm x 5 mm, and 10 mm x 10 mm. The resin coating is semi-cured at the B-stage. Your customer heats it. The resin melts. Then it cools and hardens. A large motor customer came to us. They needed to fix the end of the stator winding. Before, they used ropes to tie the windings. That took a lot of labor. We recommended our epoxy coated mesh. They wrapped the winding end with the mesh. Then they heated it. The epoxy melted and bonded the mesh to the windings. The winding shape looked very good.
